Registered Physiotherapist
Akib completed his Masters Degree in Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto in 2009. Akib has experience in working with post-cardiac surgery patients, stroke patients, post-orthopaedic surgery patients and a wide variety of other conditions. Akib has completed additional courses in acupuncture, thoracic spine management and shoulder treatment.
Akib is passionate about what he does and takes a comprehensive approach to physical rehabilitation by providing patients with relevant education, an exercise program to maintain the benefits provided by his care and strategies to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Akib has a variety of sports interests including basketball, football, and ball hockey. He is a member of the Green Army hockey team which competes at an elite level across Ontario. Being an athlete himself drives Akib to take a keen interest in treating sports related injuries and helping athletes reach their peak performance.
