Frequently Asked Questions

Physiotherapists are professionally trained, primarily health care providers who are experts in injury diagnosis, treatment, exercise prescription, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and many other areas of sport, health, and fitness.

Please bring a copy of any relevant diagnostic testing reports (X-ray, MRI, etc.) and/or medication that you are taking.

The number of treatments required will vary depending on the problem and the individual. After your healthcare provider conducts a thorough physical examination, they will discuss a treatment plan for the rehabilitation process with you.

You should be dressed so that your health care provider can access the areas that need to be assessed and treated. For example, if you are coming in for sciatica pain, a pair of shorts will be required.

The most efficient way to make an appointment is to call us at 905-604-6555 and speak directly to our receptionist.

All of our licensed professionals are primary health care providers and do not require a doctor’s note for assessment and treatment. However, depending on your insurance company and plan (if applicable), you may need a doctor’s requisition to be reimbursed for the services.

The duration of treatment will vary from patient to patient. Factors such as your diagnosis, age, severity of your impairments, past medical history, and work-related environment may affect your response to sciatic pain physiotherapy. We will constantly review your progress in therapy and re-evaluate your treatment plan if necessary to help you achieve your therapy goals.

We treat patients with a wide range of conditions and diagnoses. Please visit our Services for an extensive list of conditions and diagnoses our practitioners treat.

Extended health care insurance plans may cover a part of, or even the entire cost of your treatment. Please confirm your insurance coverage, or you may ask our front desk for assistance.

We may directly bill your insurance company if you are involved in a motor vehicle accident or a WSIB claim. Most insurance plans under Great West Life, Blue Cross, Chambers of Commerce Group, Industrial Alliance, Desjardins, Johnson, Manulife, Maximum Benefit of Johnston Group, Standard Life, and Sun Life allow for direct billing. However, there are exceptions to each insurance company. Each company also varies in the specific services that can be submitted on your behalf. Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, and Massage Therapy are directly billable for most of the above-stated insurance companies.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Interac (debit), cheque, and cash.

Call in to our office at 905-604-6555 if you need to modify your appointment.
