What is a Physiotherapist?
Physiotherapists are university trained primarily health care providers who are experts in injury diagnosis, injury treatment, exercise prescription, injury prevention, rehabilitation and many other areas of sport and health and fitness.
What do I need to bring?
Please dress accordingly so that your healthcare provider can access the areas which need to be assessed and treated. If possible, please also bring aa copy of any relevant diagnostic testing reports (x-ray, MRI and etc.) and/or medication that you are taking.
How many visits will I need?
The number of treatments required will vary depending on the problem and the individual. After your healthcare provider conducts a thorough physical examination, they will discuss a treatment plan for the rehabilitation process with you.
What should I wear to my appointment?
You should be dressed so that your health care provider can access the areas which need to be assessed and treated. For example, if youare coming in for a knee injury, a pair of shorts will be required.

Do I have to be referred by a doctor?
All of our licensed professionals are primary health care providers and do not require a doctor’s note for assessment and treatment. However, depending on your insurance company and plan (if applicable), you may require a doctor’s requisition in order to be reimbursed for the services.
